Renovations

Design and construction is now underway at our new home. We value the architectural integrity of this almost century-old building, and we strive to preserve and enhance its original character. Where practical, we intend to honor architectural elements and uses that remain in the building. Going forward, our desire is to create a space that is warm, welcoming and modern and in keeping with our mission and purpose.

The Community Foundation set a goal of securing “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design” (LEED) certification for the project through the U.S. Green Building Council.

Building renovations will be complete this fall. Exterior renovation projects will include roof replacement, new windows and brickwork. A reception area and Community Foundation offices will be constructed on the first floor. The second floor will be split between tenant and convening space. The entire third floor will be available to tenants. The basement, a former bank check clearing and call center, may also be used as future tenant space.
